A Look Around the International Drive Area (PART 1)

The large International Drive area will receive many new additions in the next few years, the biggest one of them being I-Drive Live. Today we will take a quick look around just one small section of this busy tourist corridor, stopping at the intersection with Sand Lake Road. Let's see:

(NOTE: We apologize for the blurriness of certain photos, but we had to take them from the passenger's seat while driving around the area, as it would have taken hours to do such a tour walking).

One of the most luxurious hotels found along this road is The Peabody:

It is truly gorgeous:


This building officially opened in 2009:

Moving forward, we noticed this very badly-maintained "Universal Studios" sign (It doesn't even refer to Universal Orlando, making it look like there is only one theme park in the Universal area): 


Next we find Pointe Orlando, an upscale shopping area with some really good (and themed!) restaurants too:









One of our favorite restaurants - Maggiano's Little Italy:




Next, we find Wonderworks:

Everybody knows that this is an attraction that features many hands-on exhibit and interactive activities:



The Hawaiian Rumble mini golf:

One of the newest additions in the area - Senor Frog's:
